On November 30th, Matt delivered FCA Coach's Bibles to Raymond area schools. They included Central Hinds Academy, Carver Middle School, Rebul Academy, and Raymond High School. A total of 33 bibles were handed out to coaches and Athletic Directors. One specific stop at Rebul Academy was a highlight. Rebul is located in Learned, MS, a small town 10 miles outside of Raymond, MS. This school with 120 students in K-12 competes on the smallest level in Mississippi sports and has endured some adversity in the past 2 years. Their basketball gym, which also housed athletic locker rooms, burned to the ground not long ago but has since been rebuilt buy parents, boosters, and friends of the school. It's almost complete and will be ready for play by January 2008. After viewing this project with my own eyes, it will bring a great deal of pride to Rebul Athletics. However, this is not the most vivid memory of my stop last week. Upon finding Coach Bill Perry (referred to as "Moose"), I was immediately greeted with a warm handshake and an update on the students that sat in his classroom. He told me to "watch this" then turned to his class and said, "How many of you in here have given your lives to Jesus Christ this year?". Of about 20 students (the whole 7th and 8th grade classes), 15 of them raised their hands!!! He looked back at me as if that was all that mattered to him. Of course, he said they were still working on the others. I was amazed at the eternal progress being made at this small town school. Afterwards, I received the grand tour and personally handed bibles to all their coaches. I met students, parents, and administrators. I felt as if I were a famous celebrity or a past student turned hero who had come to pay this school a short visit. This whole experience is what we pray for in FCA...a huddle coach like "Moose" who knows what really matters in life! Thanks for making this possible and for allowing us to bless these coaches with FCA Coach's Bibles.

Hillcrest Christian School
On December 18, FCA Staff Bill Buckner, Kevin Sijansky, and Matt Murphy presented FCA Coach's Bibles to the coaching staff at Hillcrest Christian School. These bibles were given on behalf of Mike and Linda Blue who are also on staff at Hillcrest.
